Strike A Balance In Life, Says Royal Award Winner
KUALA
LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- Universiti Malaya Royal Education Award winner
Nahrizul Adib Kadri has a piece of advice for university students -- strike a
balance in life in the pursuit of academic excellence.
Nahrizul, 26, said students should take an interest in various aspects of life
to widen their knowledge and should also keep themselves physically fit.
"Although the primary responsibility of a student is to study, other
matters involving the outside world should also be given attention," said
Nahrizul, who obtained a first class honours degree in biomedical engineering
with a CGPA of 3.84 He was speaking to reporters after receiving the award from
UM Chancellor Sultan Azlan Shah at the university's convocation at Stadium Putra
here today.
The eldest of seven siblings, Nahrizul said there was no secret to his academic
success.
"Each time a lecturer gave certain tips, I would jot down the points. Apart
from that, I also like to study alone because there are bound to be
non-committed students in a group study," said Nahrizul who plans to pursue
his masters.
